What parts are okay from ebay?

I know ebay is not the place to buy something that needs to be high quality, but what things are OK to buy from ebay? I'm looking at steering hubs and steering wheels for example, I would want a real hub, but is a $30 wheel going to break on me and kill me or something? Any reviews of anything bought off ebay that is car related would be awesome, and I think this could be helpful to all if we can get a comprehensive list of car parts that should not be bought off ebay and those that are acceptable to be bought off ebay.

you can get genuine parts off ebay just the same as anywhere else. obviously, cheap Chinese clones aren't going to be the same quality.

Please don't buy any those knock-off wheels on ebay and drive anywhere near where I live.

I often find parts from vendors are more on ebay, and cheaper in their stores, reputable ones I am talking about. Not the Chinese ones.

You've got to have eBay smarts. Can't just go 'round trusting everyone.

I paid $12 for my Mtech II wheel at a PnP.

Thanks for the responses guys! 100% will never buy an ebay wheel, or anything made out of metal that needs to be high quality

@TurboJake Thanks for the videos! I didn't even check because I thought the main difference would be the quality of fabric and everything not the actual metal. I am 100% going to wait to get a new one! If I buy a wheel from a real website sometime if I spend around $100 should I expect to get something good?

That's not what they're saying. They were more or less saying to buy from shops in the US with excellent feedback, buy genuine products, if the verbage in the ad seems off just skip that item. There are plenty of good deals to be had on eBay, just exercise good judgement, and remember that you get what you pay for.

I should clarify, I meant "ebay wheel" like the typical $30 wheels that were used in the videos, not to disregard all sellers on ebay!
