My '90 was the same so no, I don't think this is very rare. Of course, after going back and actually browsin this thread, I see the ol Gilly Giles has already replied concerning the '90 325is that I speak of.

            My man, MY MAN!

Anyways the 320iS Italian Stallion came equipped with the S14. There's a guy here on the boards with one.

Thats August of 1994 . Most of the world puts the day before the month unlike us .

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that BMW carried over the smallest displacement engine models longer than the rest of the range .
I know the E21 315 and 316 carried well into the E30's production but I'm not sure how long they actually made the smaller displacement E30's .

I think he's talking about model years, ie my 10/90 325ix was sold as a '91 model year.

Yeah I know , but I'm saying that August might be a bit early to call it the next years model .

The only thing I can think of is that possibly when the last of the '89 cars were painted Schwarz, maybe they'd stopped using that paint color, and they'd already had all of the bumpers painted Diamond-Schwarz, so they just went ahead and used them. Because as far as I know, and I could be wrong here, there weren't any Schwarz cars past '89, they were all Diamond-Schwarz.
my autotragic '90 (march of 90 production i think) was schwartz tho, with d-schwartz bumpers too.
