Seriously, nice car. You should be happy with the switch. Get late 325is and do a few simple mods (suspension, exhaust...) and you will have great car that could later be modded for much more power.'89 325is S50 Track Montser

I did the opposite switch. The E30 was too noisy and too much of a rattlebox for me everyday. Call me a wimp or whatever, but I love my E36 M.
