    King Dick Tools

My neighbor is a retired private mechanic for the Canadian Consulate.
He used to wrench on BMW, Benz and the likes.

his garage is full of King Dick tools, at times I borrow some.

    very nice quality, albeit rare.
He's Pakistani...and asks how I like his King Dick gear.

always makes me laugh, esp with the accent.

I'd think so...super old school guy, knows e30/e32/e28's inside out. Literally.
Such a score to have as a friend and neighbor.

He mocks my kobalt and craftsman arsenal of tools.
He has snap on, mac, and King Dick everything.

My 75 year old boss had a bunch of King Dick stuff, very hefty tools. He was British too.

                    learn something new every day.

the truth is that unless you are turning wrenches every day and making a living at it, there is no reason to be in debt to the snap on/mac/matco guy 20 grand. craftsman will do just fine. does sears make better tools? no, but you don't have to mortgage your first born to buy them either.

HF tools are fine for most tasks. If they break, you just go buy a few more because they are dirt cheap. If you work on cars for a living then it is a different story. There is a quality feel that cheap tools can never match.

I have a set of Whitworth wrenches made by them. They are definitely nice. Funny name too.

I feel like the largest wrench I own should say King Dick on it... What's a useful size to buy (e36 owner)? I only own up to 19mm.
