it would definately pay 15k plus for jordans car. For someone that isnt interested or willing to spend the time to mod their own car that is a great purchase. You get a very unique one of a kind car that is basically in show room condition and is a better performer than 80% of the cars here(if jordans number are correct his car is putting down stock e36m3 numbers).

There are several cars on this forum that i believe could pull 17k+ on the open market(not ebay) without the attention to detail that jordan put into his build.

If your location of Rapid City SD is right it's no wonder you don't use A/C. A quick check shows that your average high temperature in August is only 86*F. That kind of temperature here in August would have people panicking and screaming of an approaching ice age. Usually between the end of May and the end of September temperatures hover around the mid-90s, and in August it's usually over 100 :firehop:

I'm in Boise this summer (@ home), I've already driven in a 98 F day in a black M3 with black leather interior and no tinted windows. Drove all last summer in my car, which had tinted windows (thank god) didn't cool off my aluminum shift knob though! Multiple days of 100+ So I know how it goes.

I just prefer no AC. But, to each their own! No worries. ;)

Ditto. Jordan's car was absolutely amazing... you have to see it in the flesh to really appreciate it. I saw it/rode in it several times in person. His attention to detail was/is second to none.

I've removed my A/C - call my crazy, but I never use it anyways. I love having my windows and sunroof open.

You are not crazy it is just that you live where it does not get hot. I could say the same thing you said replacing ac for heat. I never use my heater. I would like to hear what you have to say about ac if you lived say in Palm Springs, Ca. The average summer temperature is 100 in the shade with a nice breeze.

Where I live it is 102 from 9am until 8 pm all day everyday. In winter it gets down to the cool 80's your high is my low.

Ease up on calling people you don't know shit about liars. A/C uses too much gas, and within 10 minutes of being in any car with A/C, I get a massive migraine headache, from the Freon. About the hottest it gets here in the summertime is about 100, and that's at the max. I would much rather drive with just the windows down than drive around with a migraine headache.

Not doubting your migraine connection to running the AC, but it's not due to the Freon. Freon is contained in the AC system, it does not come out (well- if it does come out, it's leaking and it the AC won't work for very long after it starts leaking).

Maybe it's due to the change in humidity or the cold air, but not caused by freon.

Jordan basically is trying to get every penny he spent on his car back out of it. I remember earlier this year he was only at the $10,000 mark. I don't know how he spent another 10k+ in the last 6 months, but I think he inflated his numbers some, or maybe he added in some theoretical labor charges from what he could have been charged had someone else done the work.

first off... you get better gas milage with your ac on and windows closed then you do with ac off and windows open... thats a proven fact for all but the most aerodynamically sound cars(teh e30 is not one)

second... if you get "freon headaches" thats your problem right there... your ac is leaking and you should fix it and maybe you would like it better...

You could buy an M3 with working AC that would be a ton more fun on the track that his car. But that's just my opinion.

He did put a lot of work into it, and it shows, the car is damn near flawless. I just don't think it is worth that much.

But if he gets it, then good for him.
