Ebay warning! BMWRecyclers gets combative, threatens to try and get me fired

I'm gonna side with Jalopi on this one. Too many people think they're entitled to "the rules." Anyone who's ever done business knows that your word is your bond. Ie. if you're too afraid to speak on the phone you probably need help wiping your ass after you take a shit. Business is about keeping it moving. Why would a company waste time trying to fuck people over? It gets you nowhere. Being from customer service myself, I've lost patience with people who try to fuck you over. I'll hang up on them too. I'll say it: FUCK YOU. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then clearly you haven't worked a customer service job. In any case, the OP is acting like a little kid and must have done something of monumental asshole proportions to make a businessman take time out of his day to finish what should have been a five minute deal.
Mistakes happen. That's the nature of the business. It's how you handle it that makes you a man. The OP has shown his colors here.Leave a comment:

I haven't, but this:
is pretty much why. I am not a patient person, and I know that I would find myself telling customers to go fuck themselves way too often. And then I'd get fired.being able to tell difficult people that it's your way or the highway is one of the most gratifying things everLeave a comment:

i have a keen eye for dickery, that's all. i'm not saying that the seller was a saint or anything, but OP had it coming when he expected 1950's-esque levels of how-may-i-suck-your-dick-today-sir levels of service while acting like a brat. that kind of attitude's like, #1 on my list of most egregious pet peeves, hence my damn near personal reaction to all this
fortunately my office exclusively lists foreclosed homes for banks - the customer is never #1 with these guys, especially now that it's been a sellers' market for some time now. if you've never had to work in customer service before, you might not understand this, but being able to tell difficult people that it's your [in this case the banks', just you by proxy] way or the highway is one of the most gratifying things everLeave a comment:

Lol, really, it's almost like he has a grudge against the OP. I find it hard to believe OP would completely fabricate this story just for shits and giggles. And no shit the seller isn't going to admit to any wrong doing, he's not going to willingly ruin his own reputation.
BTW, Jalopi, if that's how you handle customer service, you should probably be doing something else. Stooping down to the customer's level when they get mouthy isn't gonna get you anywhere.Leave a comment:

Idk Jalopi, you really are obviously taking sides here. What makes the words from BMWrecyclers instantly completely believable and OP's words not? Is there some kind of parts seller illuminati?
Douchebag OP or not, that seller has lost my future business.Leave a comment:

that sounds like some "the customer is always right" BS that i don't believe in. period. i return the same level of courtesy and professionalism that i receive from my customers; i.e. if you're cool on the phone, you'll get top notch service and if you're a dick, you might get a few "uh huh"s followed by me hanging up the phone. anyone who says otherwise is either emotionally dead inside, in a position where their bosses force them to put up with such BS or a robot.
sent the seller an email since he didn't respond on ebay, took him only an hour to get back to me

seems convincing enough to me, original suspicions about OP confirmedLeave a comment:

Dude, that's no excuse for how the seller handled himself. There is no situation where what he did could have been considered professional or appropriate. Regardless of how much of a dick the OP may or may not have been, the seller is completely out of line. Period.only proves that the seller was trying to get a hold of you, not that he was attempting to harass you/get you fired like you previously mentioned. my guess is that you were being a child and not picking up your phone for the seller so he ended up trying out unconventional means as an attempt to get a hold of youLeave a comment:

bullshit, that's exactly what you came here for. why would you make an incredibly slanderous thread otherwise? also, this email

only proves that the seller was trying to get a hold of you, not that he was attempting to harass you/get you fired like you previously mentioned. my guess is that you were being a child and not picking up your phone for the seller so he ended up trying out unconventional means as an attempt to get a hold of you
you're either fabricating large portions of the story or are leaving out details that would be disadvantageous to you during a paypal claim. why else would you delete your original story after i posted a picture of me reaching out to the seller with a link to this thread?
post screenshots of your entire conversation that actually proves me wrong or go back to bimmerforums where they buy into this kind of crapLeave a comment:

My purpose in posting this is not to convince everyone that i was a victim or start a witch hunt against the seller. It is to let people know that this seller, despite all his positive ratings, will resort to this type of behavior if he feels he is being wronged. What people do with that information is up to them.
Full Stop.Leave a comment:

It proves you were wrong.
As to the complete convo, I may post it after this whole saga is finished. Regardless, A seller admitted to attempting to call the place of employment of a buyer in order to harass them. There is no amount of dickery on my end that justifies him acting like that.Leave a comment:
