i have a 1990 325is and my car has yet to top out. our cars are basically gear limited when it comes to top speed. they are also held back by either power and/or aerodynamics.

i like those numbers. i'd like to do a base run on my car one day.

Nice numbers. Your car puts out more to the wheels than an M42 or an eta to the crank ;) (I am sure Josh will reply to this.)

          Lol.

Okay, well based on the dyno numbers, would a compression test be worth it? Or am I in a safe zone?

I would say your safe, but compression/leakdown numbers would just add some good info for future reference.

'88 and up had a speed limiter. If you look at ETMs you'll see this.

It is easy to bypass. We had this discussion on roadfly a few weeks back.

It routes through pin 14 of the C101 fusebox connector. Pull pin 14 out of the engine side of the C101 connector, should be a white and black wire, fold it back over itself and tape it up. Wallah, you can get a few more mph till it tops out.

135mph is higher than the limiter should be anyway. So maybe your car is an 87 or early prod. 88?

Nah, its a 90. I haven't taken the car down a freeway past 110. But the dyno hit 135 before my friend let off.
