Sweeney finished the fabrication tonight. Turned the key and it roared to life. He tuned the a/f ratio to a safe 11:1 on boost. Everything was fine. Ran like a top. We are only running 7psi at the moment.

FACT: The m30 AFM is plug and play. We installed it and the 24lb injectors and made zero adjustments. It idled at 14.5-14.7 a/f ratio.

Now the fun begins.

it depends which big-6 afm you get. some of them have a different connector. the one I got has the exact same connector as my car, and the electronics inside are exactly the same. I haven't installed it yet though.

so what years would i be looking at to find a proper m30 afm...i can get ahold of 5.0L injectors for free and porbuly an m30 afm for not bad price...i need info pronto!

M30 AFM - I believe 1985-1992 work. As long as it has the same connector it will work.

Well we played with the car afternoon. Washed it. Drove it. It's running a solid 8psi and feels very nice. It's easily quicker than my ex 1997 M3. The throttle response is instant. I can honestly say that there is zero lag. It spools immediately. Kudos to the 3" exhaust. The car sounds great. Very raspy and pretty loud. I am very pleased with the outcome. It's getting a 225lph in tank pump, MSD BTM and boost controller this week. Maybe we'll get it on the dyno next week.

The end of the charge air pipe is a little ugly. We ran out of 2" u bends and had to use a 2.5". We'll replace that soon.
