Introduction- Newbie & 325es value question

Hello all- Newbie here but not to bimmers. I have had an e30, e36 M3, e39 & an e60. I'm in the process of acquiring another e30. I also am a bit of a Porsche guy. currently have an '02 996.

    Here's my question:

What is the thought on value for an '86 325es manual, alpine white on blue/black. 100% original and in near pristine condition with right at 100K on the odometer and a thick stack of service records. I'm the third owner.

    Thoughts? Thank you.

If that's as clean as it looks with FULLY up to date maintenance, it's worth more.

at least 5k going from those pics.

I'd honestly pay 8 for that if I was into leather.

Like how much? It's damn clean and has a complete service history. One owner had it for 22 years

Agreed. That's a prime car from the looks of it.

I'd pay 5-7k with how well it's been maintained. That's cherry.

Jealous of how nice that interior is.

...so any bets on how long till you see a For Sale ad for this car asking 8K? 5 posts and all asking how much this car is worth.

                          I dont' deny it's a nice car.

It just has the acceleration of a Molasses in January. Any mods to make it faster will take away from the 100% original status of it and therefore render it just another hacked car.

Its an eta, so are you willing to pay a lot of money for a car thats slow as shit? They are nice drivers, but it needs a 3.25LSD and a chip at minimum to be somewhat enjoyable. I dont understand how/ why people would be willing to spend anymore than 5 grand on something like that.

BAT sold a Henna 325e for (I think) 7 grand and it still needed a fraking timing belt. :hitler:

For a few grand more (or similar money if you can negotiate) you can get a clean 24v swapped car.
