J/k. My dad has one of those old volvos right now, doing some sort of resto-mod project with it.
They look sick when done right

Mazdaspeed 3, Utilitarian, totally stealth (it is just a Mazda station wagon after all) but tweeked to 325hp/TQ at the wheels it is stupid fast and really pisses the M3's off at the track when I flash my lights going down the straight.

Those, and the Ford Flex. I don't know why, but I want one for family hauler status so bad.

I wouldn't be as extreme, but a mild static drop with decent wheels on the AWD model. Mmmmmmm. Too bad my wife can't stand them, since she'll be driving it most.

I've also always wanted a 2nd gen DSM, preferably the GSX. Dunno, I would even consider trading my S4 for the right car. So sexy, and the possibilities, oh the possibilities.

Man,I like the Flex as well.. rented one for a while as a possible tow vehicle, family hauler. Loved the way it drove and the family loved how big it felt on the inside (especially the back.) Really loved how everything folded flat.

Unfortunately, they are still holding their value really well in the used market, so couldn't find a decent one in the budget range the wife gave me..

                        Advantages:
                        cheap

                        good on gas

                        It's a Honda
                        fwd
                        slowwwww
                        cheaply built
                        look terrible

                        I rest my case.
I'd have to disagree on your cons. they don't come with cut springs. and everything else you mentioned is subjective to your liking.
and their high performance motors don't have to produce wads of powa. What motor are you referring to as the 1 motor in however many years?
from my understanding they've made motors such as the b18, f20, and k series motors. these are fairly quick. and slow, well sure stock, but modified like any m42 or m20, they can pull just fine.

FWD is the only real issue with Honda. Their motors are great but unfortunately they stick them in econoboxes.

No shame. I love these and with a few small mods they can be insanely tossable and fun to drive.

SVT Focus. Owned one for 7 years. One of the best cars Ive ever owned.

FWD doesn't bother me. Setup well it can behave very well and is quite predictable near the limit.
