E30 Touring Values

Want to hear some feedback on what an e30 touring imported from Europe are valued at these days. To keep this from being a 10k range from low to high, I am talking about drivers cars that have little or no rust, are street ready or need little to make them daily's and over 120k miles. What would be a price point that one of these would sell at quickly? I see some of the nicely restored versions here sitting for some time that are priced over 10k. My initial thoughts is that a decent example with 150k miles, little to no rust is worth 7k.

Yes. They seem to range 6-15k depending on condition, model, and seller's enthusiasm.

roguetoaster has three in different formats for sale. They have been on the market for a while with none selling at this time.

I believe the asking prices are just too high for these in general to see any movement in the marketplace.

I think the value has dropped a lot now that you can legally import them easily to the US. 25 year rule....

Obviously depends on the model, but seems like most decent 325i touring are 10-13/14 for a 325ix. 318's are more in the 6-7500 range, with 320's sitting between.

Naturally, expensive for what they are, but we're paying for the uncommon and quirky nature of them. Prices will continue to drop as more come stateside, but they'll always demand a slight premium.

It's really like when Skylines were first imported, and you'd pay 15-20 for a rough r32 GTS-T, but now you can find GTR's for about the same. Supply/demand market.

touring prices have dropped a lot in the past 6 months it seems. The same touring for sale went from 12 to around 7k when it sold last month.

^very true! I've owned one for the last 3 years while deployed overseas and it's currently on it way here. If it was for making $$, I would not bring it as the market is not stable and as profitable as 2yrs ago. I'm bring mine because it's extremely clean, original and reliable and the military pays for shipping but as previously mentioned prices will continue to drop. Rusted 318's 6-7k 320 no A/C 7-8k 325 no A/C rusted 8-9K Clean examples with A/C in 325 configuration 10-12k for something super nice.

I doubt you'd get 12k for any condition touring unless it had a turbocharged s52 in it.

Thanks again, not for a profit adventure. I am shipping interior and other parts and shipping them alone is not cost effective; however if you ship them in a car its actually not much more money plus you get the vehicle.

It's not going to be stacked. I am shipping an interior in it mainly (replacing the stock seats) and a front and rear lip.

I'm surprised that Rouguetoaser's 2 less expensive cars haven't sold yet. If they are as described, the current prices are reasonable. I have no clue what a td is worth or how many people would want a diesel Touring.

After looking for a year, I pulled the trigger in Oct when I found a Touring with an M20 (320i), 5-speed, and FUNCTIONAL FACTORY A/C. The mileage is 177k and it's cosmetically tired. The rust won't be cheap to fix but it's not even close to terminal and the hatch is solid. I've already spent $2,500 since I got it and have barely scratched the surface of getting it to a reliable daily drive that I'm proud of (my goal).

I paid $8,950 for it, which was probably about $1,000-1,500 too much. It's only the second one I've seen for sale in the USA with factory A/C, and the other one was a 316 auto with questionable title. I'm still very happy with the purchase.

The values have dropped a lot. They are very cheap cars overseas, and like it's been said, more will make their way over here eventually. They aren't rare, just unusual to see in the states. That's a big difference in the long term.
