I think your problem is you are comparing a 2-seater sports car to a 4-seater sedan. They will never feel the same.

Yeah, I thought about all those things, but at the end of the day you can't change the 365 turn lock to lock steering rack. Is yours pretty crisp with all the mods?

it had a kirkey seat, modified floorboard (cut risers) and a deep dish steering wheel. getting in and out wasn't an elegant sight, but once I was in, life was good

I've had plenty of "I" cars
    325is (x2)
    318is (x2)
    318ic
    325ic
    327i (5 lug/bar/coils bla bla)
    320i/touring(m50b25)
    324tds/touring (2)

I went 325ix for a change, not sure if I can make it give me the "fizz" /captainslow

eh, I had an ssquid tune on my supereta stroker with s52 injectors. Helped with midline power a good bit but I agree that on a stock car it probably won't get you much

I Agree with balleristic31. Get an m20 or m42, chip it and you'll have all the fun you want.

I love Miatas. Should have a 2000 clean model with 36k in my possession soon, and I'm seriously considering selling the S4 and keeping the Miata.....

I think a 325ix is the wrong e30 to replace the feel of a Miata. Might be why you are having issues. Get a lighter more rev happy model (318) and it'll bring you closer to what you were used to.

After a bunch (read 20+ e30s) I decided to take the path to the dark side and bought a 1995 Miata M-Edition. It had a couple nice mods: Roll bar, coilovers, grippy tires and I topped that off with a VVT swap.

However being 6'6" in a miata was always a challenge and I decided to part with it. Now I'm balls deep in a 325ix build and honestly.. I'm not feeling the "magic" anymore. It's on H&Rs/Bilteins with some 225/Kumhos. It's got plenty of get up and go but it just "feels" bulky. So my question to you is.. What do I do (see poll)
