I don't know about the galvanized body, but I can say that the late models rust just as good as the early ones do.

DAMN! you're lucky just to own that car. It's beautiful!

I deleted abs and power windows in my 89 using parts from an 84 323i. My buddy wildbill also bought the m20b23 out of it and used the head to build an early m20b27 stroker. If I'm not mistaken the m20b23 had a hotter cam then the b25.

Love the pics everyone! :D These dark color Euro models are killing it for me... And not to get off topic, but am I to understand that a full euro conversion (bumpers, valences, trim, etc.) is a bolt-on swap? News just keeps on getting better... now to find that early 325i in an acceptable color. They seem to be much less common on the used market than the later cars.

Damn, all that mula and you'd think he could at least get some fogs. +1 for the euro bumps though, love mine as well

So I've been poking around trying to find out what my ideal E30 is and I think it's the plastic bumpers w/ early fenders and tail lights. Too bad the plastic bumper swap is such a pain in the ass.

              Exhibit A:

The higher rear fender gives a more aggressive stance and the skinnier tails are just awesome. <3

Sig for answer, 4 door 323i not very easy to come by.

The possibility of a future euro bumper swap is one of the main reasons I'm okay with my beat up diving boards

all e30's did. doesn't make them totally rust-proof, just happens much slower than other cars from the time (pre-late 80's Volvo's were notorious for rusting early).
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

True, early + euro bumpers is the sex.
