lol This reminds me of that guy who tried to sell a roundel backlit sign for $1,200. One thousand, two hundred dollars. You read that shit right. Talk about hyperinflation.

            To those concerned.........

Keep in mind that the E30 is over 30 years old,, many parts are absolutely not available any more,,,

            what parts are expensive ??

As i can speak from the Iceland community i would say,, An E30 with minor rust is damned expensive,, because here ,,it is almost impossible to find an E30 that have been used as daily in that condition.. I think there is maximum 3 E30 that are used as daily in the country
and the population is 330.000 and the size is 40.000. sqm,, all other cars are garaged in the winter

LSD,, diff is $$$$ in most cases,, no diff is sold under 1000 bucks ,, if the ratio is rare then the price is higher,,

Yes i know the game with E28 and E34 diffs that can be swapped,, but the cover is what really matters,,

Preface EURO bumpers are like their weight in gold,, Ludicrous amount,,

M-tech I and II kits are also dangerously expensive

rear subframe and trailing arms ,, with discs is expensive in most cases, you guys must keep in mind that we are in the North Atlantic,, and a long way from everything

51mm struts,,, yes they cost,,, M3 struts,,, well here we are talking about criminal behavior ,just thinking you want a set, because it is not for sale, even in EU a set is sold for 1500€ USED,,, that is 1650 usd,,,

No car in the history of BMW have such a high cult status as E30,, and it will last forever

these parts in many cases, will be hard to find,, so except the value,, if not, then get yourself another car

            just my opinion

Geographically, you are in a unique position. You are like Americans who live in Hawaii.

Here in the states, buying a $2,000 e30 and then spending $300 steering wheel or $750for a set of wheels just violates all sorts of common sense nerve-endings in most Americans. Hell, $300 for a dash that will crack in 2 years is just a waste of money.

                Indeed

OT,, i am 100% sure that there is,,not a single dashboard that have cracked, in Iceland, like we are so often reading ,, about US E30

This, dash prices are up and I can't understand who would pay $300 for a dash that;s already 20 years old and is going to crack eventually.

That doesn't mean anything. You can pick up $80-100k e38s for less than $2k now.

And even still cars cost less to manufacture than what they sell for.
