From what I've seen ...

It seems to me that the factory M tech 1 cars had body colored bumpers and the dealer installed kits could have remained chromed. I looked at a Delphin M tech vert in Germany that had painted bumpers as well and showed the factory option code, unfortunately it had been 'tapped' in the left front beyond what I wanted to repair. It also had shadowline trim.

The rear spoiler was kinda sketchy on the M tech 1 ... the holes looked like someone installed it their self. I've seen other verts with no rear spoiler.

ha thanks for the pics Phil.. and fyi my vert is actually calypsorot. i do like the burgundyrot in older cars too.

fyi there's a post earlier about the mtech1s in germany that includes a brochure.. all shadow line, 3 colors only (lachs, delphin and diamondschwarz).

most likely your vert was dealer prepped for mtech1. check the last page in the brochure for an example.

if you by any chance remember the last 7 on your vin we could look up the details...

Anyone have anything to add to this thread? I am dying here waiting for my car back. Had a small hiccup, but hopefully I will have it back in my possession in the next 2 weeks. I am jones-ing for some Mtech 1 goodness. :D

i feel ya. no news yet from me other that waiting on the rest of my shadow line trim for the convertible top lid.

Oh and I did get another mtech 1 rear spoiler from Thailand in perfect condition

Nice. I bought a complete Mtech1 minus the spoiler a few months back. Love the MT1 spoiler, but for my build, I didn't want to black rubber part so I decided to order a replica of that piece. This way I can color match the entire spoiler. Should be here any day.

I haven't messed with my car in a long while. Been busy with life. I will eventually get it done.
