I half expected a pod filter hanging down in the under belly pics, but I'm not seeing anything.

To answer your question, the intake on the car is a miller pro street induction kit. It has been converted from a air flow meter style intake to one with a MAF. its routed down and gets its air from right behind the bumper on the drivers side (pretty much behind the turn signal area) I know cause that used to be my car! lol

Henna, every single time I see your car I drool. I miss my first E30 at times. (Henna 325e, auto) If I could find another henna, I'd copy yours.

      And to stay on topic....

*edited* because its not on topic

Hah! I appreciate the insider info, that clears things up. The pics left me scratching my head, to dark to tell what was actually going on.

That's a tasteful machine you created, not surprised to see it (back?) up on BAT.

Let's face it, an E30 M3 will get dusted by a showroom GTI these days.

I think I remember seeing Jason from motortrend put his e30 with some sticky tires up against a 340i and it was 1 second off a lap from its younger brother.

I didn't wanna say anything about it on BAT but that blue E30 is not far from my home I went to that dealer with interest in an E46 M3 they still have. They are scammers. They buy cheap cars and try to charge double the price. If a car doesn't sell they raise the price every month. They treated me like shit when I went to the dealer and they know absolutely nothing about the cars. We agreed on a price through email and when I showed up the M3 had more issues than discussed then he raised the price on me. Fuck those guys.

Thank you all for keeping this updated. My '87 325i was hit last night and I just know USAA is going to lowball me in the valuation. This helps to have a single source with some sort of reference point regarding current value of these amazing machines. Mine had been in the family since '89. But if anyone has any recent valuations they have received from insurance companies (or know where to get some) please let me know. Thank you.

Good luck in recouping your money. Start a new thread with the process, I know others have had similar situations and can help guide you to get the max money and hopefully not total the car.

You should have posted your experience on BAT. In this cyber world of buying things sight unseen, we all rely on others' experiences to help us not make mistakes.

Regarding the ongoing discussion on this auction, is it not ridiculous for an indy shop to charge $900 to change one e46 font control arm? Maybe I'm out of the loop because I haven't had an e46 since 2014 and do most of my own work.
