yours will be an interesting one for sure, but werent you trying to get in the 30s? Its going to be a tough sell. Its worth the money, just have to find someone willing to spend that on a swapped car

Why not? there was a swapped M3 that got high 20's I believe without a CA BAR sticker. You'd have more potential CA buyers interested with that.

this x2 The ONE 325i swapped car sold on BAT for 11k and wasnt CA legal. Theres a big pool of buyers who want CA legal cars and a lot come through that arent. Big market waiting to spend money. A lot of the Porsches that arent CA legal get overlooked because even though we all know someone who can DO the smog for us not everyone WANTS to go through that process.

Jordan, I would put like 5000 miles on the car or something, at least enjoy the fruits of your labor before you ship it off to someone else

I changed the exhaust, so a Cali buyer would need to put a stock e36 M3 dual cat exhaust back on. Its been reg'd in CO for 4.5 years now.

Its a sorted swap mechanically, but a little rough around the edges in spots.
Its likely to not receive kind treatment from the BaT crowd.

Non-stock color repaint being the biggest offense in most eyes.

I guess it would depend on what they'd accept as far as reserve goes.

These guys may be buying sight unseen, but they are a very discerning group. I would write a very thorough description clearly outlining all the car's flaws, if I were to sell something on BAT. If you look at the two 318is that recently sold, the second one had about 70k fewer miles and was a slicktop, but sold for less money because the seller (a dealer) was not-very-transparent and one of the doors was unoriginal, along with a fewer other things that weren't mentioned...
