Blue flame six..
Oh wait, what was the question again?
Honestly, they all have their pluses and minuses. I favor the M20 only because I have a bunch of spares and parts lying around and they are stock in the E30, so no need to custom fab stuff to swap them in.
In my book, any motor from any manufacture has some cool features, and some weak points. But then again, I am just a car guy who likes to tinker...
..except air cooled VW. I don't understand them and as far as I am concerned they work off Pixie magic and Unicorn blood.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)

Honestly, for my daily driving needs, my M20B27 is a great engine. It's now just over 450K km and it's still running strong. Yeah, it's got a timing belt, but once you've done it, it's a pretty easy job, just a bit time consuming.Estoguy
