Klaus the traveling BMW Roundel

Alright.

Since it's a Monday, that means back to work. Klaus tagged along. View from my office this morning.

Klaus checked the wheels out on this R8 while I had some coffee.




Klaus then met some of his extended family.




He got a little confused. In his defense, it is still German.




We worked around this for a little bit. Hopefully it will be finished soon.




Here Klaus got all up in the wheels of the GT3R.




We rounded things up with another R8. This one is a bit special though. You may recognize it from the Forza 6 intro video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxtZdy2zHak ).



With that done, I will be saying goodbye to Klaus this evening and he will be on his way!

Klaus arrived here in Alamo safely today! Carlos immediately had to inspect.



Klaus is looking forward to helping me backdate the steering column on my car tonight!

After meeting Carlos, Klaus wanted to meet Lulu:


Then he accompanied me and my wife outside to work on clearing the little growers along the base of the redwood trees in our backyard. Afterwards he relaxed for a bit in the hammock:




The next morning he accompanied me to work:


And then to the doctor (I pulled a muscle in my back loading up an M42 into the back of a pickup the night before):


He helped me and my wife make a Blue Apron meal for dinner:


Saturday we worked on the car for a bit:




He followed me, my wife, and our three roommates to the new Danville Brewing Company brewpub for some drinks and snacks. The little dandelion looking thing that's skewered is what they called a "buzz bomb". You take a sip, bite down on the "buzz bomb" and then take another sip. It's some sort of plant that makes your mouth all tingly which changes the taste of the second sip. The beer is a double IPA:


The three women in the house demanded we then take him to the candy shop:


After this we were all too lazy to make dinner, so we introduced Klaus to thai food:



Then my roommate and I popped more beers and played some music:


Tomorrow morning he is off to his next stop!

Really my favorite part of this so far is seeing how different everyone's location/lifestyle is despite all having the common bond of e30's.

Klaus left the Bay Area on Monday and should be down in Socal by now! Looking forward to his ongoing travels!
