    Discount Tire

Anyone have any insights as to when would be a good time order tires from Discount Tire?
I know they have promotions time to time.

    Thanks for the input.

No insight, but if I had to guess I would assume that with winter tire season coming up soon you may see a promotion on outgoing summer tires...

I ordered some BFG Sport Comp 2's from them recently... came to just over $400 after shipping and rebates for (2) 225/45/17 and (2) 245/40/17.

I know of two large sales days for DTD..

Black Friday and then again July 4th.. These are the times I purchase from them. I have placed a total of 8 orders over the last 4 years.

You might take a look for Labor Day.. but if I recall, it wasn't the same as Black Friday..

There are at least a couple of threads in this subforum about their sales, at least one of which was authored by me. A search should turn up some results from which you can infer a time frame.

Watch ebays discount tire/discount tire direct store. They usually always have deals going on and if they dont, they will soon.

Then if you go and get the tires installed at a discount tire, you get discounted mounting. Just mention you bought them online from them.

Back to back, there have been Memorial Day sales. Usually comes out to 'buy 4, get 1 free'. Its in a gift card, not cash back.

You may be fortunate enough to see a Labor Day sale. I'd wait just in case.

And, if you live within driving distance of Cerritos you can pick up from their warehouse.

Every spring discount tire will have a $100 off $400 or more sale if you order from discounttiredirect.com or their ebay store.

The best part of that sale is it lines up with all the tire companies spring rebates so you can stack a $50-70 rebate (pending tire and brand) on top of the $100 off.

I bought a set of Dunlops for my e30 that were just over $400 for the set of 4 and wound up being $230 shipped to my doorstep.

Buy tires online from them, last time I got free shipping and no 10%state sales tax then took the tires to the local discount tire shop and had them put on. They scratched all 4 of my wheels though...
