Has anyones gas prices been going down a TON lately?

This is getting weird but totally cool

About 3 weeks ago gas peaked at $3.19 a gallon, then over the weeks it gone down...

    3.09
    2.99
    2.89
    2.70
    2.59
    2.54

today when I woke up it was 2.49

about 30 min later driving home everyone changed their signs to 2.43

Im lovin it like a god damn mcgriddle!

Awesome quote, same goes for your sig.

What's great is that I saw a feature in the news the other day, and the reporter was mentioning how they can't figure out WHY it's decreasing, especially after we just closed a major refinery/pipeline in Alaska - that should cause it to go up!!

I'm not complaining one bit - driving my Jeep while I do some work to the vert, so I can partake in the 87 octane :)

          I think the most I paid was $3.29 a gallon for 92.

I still remember the "good old days" when $20 would be more than enough to fill and e30. It was like a tank of gas, a mountain dew, and a snickers bar.

the driving season is over, plus september and october are generally slow months for oil companies. I wouldn't place bets on them staying this low past november.. reporters don't know shit about the oil industry!

I've been hearing its due to elections coming up.

Everywhere has been going down, but not Hawaii. If the rest of the nation's prices goes up, so do ours. If prices fall, ours stay the same.

                      $3.80 for 92.

Actually growth as declined and there is a building surplus of US crude. Couple that with a pretty large field discovered in the gulf and a pratically non-existant hurricane season and the speculators are looking to unload.

Also fuel blends are less stringently controlled in winter because of the reduced humidity/smog and vapor loss.

All those factors have a hell of a lot more to do with gas prices than Bush, but given the age of most members here its not a shocker that bush is a target.

Perfectly stated. I don't even look at the price. I pull up, give them my debit card, and fill up with 92.

But Ryan, hating George Bush is so cool!

                              LOL.

I'm probably old enough to be your father.

Of course it's just a coincidence that the prices are going down immediately before a critical election.

                              Right?
