I must admit, I had a similar reaction when I saw a singer on the 101

I seem to come across Maclarens on the road every year or so so perhaps I'm jaded. Now if it was a 2nd gen Super Panini or a Spritz Musti, I'd be awe struck !!Last edited by jeffnhiscars; 09-15-2018, 02:11 PM.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. My sister in law's uncle actually used to own a mclaren f1. Sadly he sold it before my brother married into the family in 2005. Then a couple years ago my brother sent me this link:
Apparently that's the actual car, which found its way back into the hands of mclaren. I never met the guy but it's mind boggling to think I'm distantly related to somebody who owned one of the greatest sports cars ever.

Were those Florida plates? Most likely it's a kit car.
Toyota mr2 based. From DDR Motorsports based in FL. Small shop making replicas. Lots of customer complaints about wait times and basically all you get is a body and a roller. Fit and finish, and mechanical takes 100's of hours to finish.
Better off looking at the RCR SL-C. It comes as a roller for $40k, and all you need is motor and trans. Drop in a motor of your choosing and transaxle (audi, gt-40, or p-car). Most guys go for a LS-X but there are at least one BMW v12, and an full electric. The engine bay is huge, so it's not a big issue.
Her's one with a BMW v10.
