325ix 5-speed
uses a VC clutch though, not sure how well that works on a RWD car.Comment

I could have sworn some auto B25 cars had a 3.91 aswell.Comment

No 325's in the US got 3.91's (not sure about iX). I do believe the 3.91's came on some 318i's but in the smaller casing."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

IX stickshift has it in large case.
Early 318s may have had small case ones.
Later E24 autos had it in large case. You'd have to swap the rear cover and possibly flanges to make it work though.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'Comment

Here we go again.
Early 325e's had 2.79's, later 325/325e's had 2.93's, most 325i/is' had 3.73's except for the later 325i/is automatics which got 4.10's.
325iX did have the viscous 3.91 in all '88 cars and 5 speed cars after '88, they got the viscous 4.10 in the auto tranny cars from '88-up.
That's about it for the 6 cyl E30's sold in USA.
