this happens far too often with the m42's. i cracked mine last spring going over a manhole. now i have a skidplate. on a more upbeat note, my roommate has a spare upper and lower pan if ur interested.

dude the pan thing sucks no matter how you slice it.
But I doubt you will see anything from it, You work construction you should know better than to drive past road closed signs. Thats you own fault, anything that happens between those signs an you dont live or work in there then the city, company doing the work, or your insurance will do nothing.
