    this happens far too often with the m42's. i cracked mine last spring going over a manhole. now i have a skidplate. on a more upbeat note, my roommate has a spare upper and lower pan if ur interested.

                    But I doubt you will see anything from it, You work construction you should know better than to drive past road closed signs. Thats you own fault, anything that happens between those signs an you dont live or work in there then the city, company doing the work, or your insurance will do nothing. I build roads for a living and thats how it works here in michigan anyway.

                      There werent any signs,paint,or markers of any sort. Car after car was scraping on it. Mine just happened to catch the pan.

                        WHOA thats not a good, go for some cash then. Get a quote from the dealer for new parts and a their labor and take it to the city and the company doing the work. Also go take some pics showing there is no signs and how high the lip was an you might get something for it.
