platinums also have a BAD fouling problem when you are burning ANY oil. it is almost instantainious!! with the +4's it takes 4 instants!

Platinums suck. I had platinums in my car for like 6 months and it ran terrible. I ran Supers that were ETA plugs and they worked better. Then I bought Supers that were correct for my I motor and it runs so much better now. Nothing but Supers for me.sigpicComment

Has anyone else run the NGK ZGR5A?
BTW, just swapped the plugs in my buddies' 1990 325is today. The P.O. had put Autolite Platinums in there. I stuck some new Bosch W8LCR's in, and she purrs like a kitten. Could be because I also did a valve adjustment and swapped the diff and transmission to Redline fluids.
All with the help of my smokin' hot BMW technician girlfriend, I should add. Thank you 8 pound 6 ounce baby Jesus.

:stupid:
Bosch are ok too, but NGK makes the best plugs around.
The twin cam motors can run platinums; but for the most part the older motors hate them. A few people say they never notice a difference but most of them will hate platinums. Platium plugs are the first thing I look for when I get a single cam car in that's running a little rough.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
