Am I poser if I put an M5 air dam and spoiler on my E28? How about an early M Technik air dam and spoiler on my 6 series? I don't mind the M3 body work on a non ///M E36, it makes them look great! I vote for the factory M3 stuff, or the Rieger stuff.
I agree, I don't see the problem with putting M body parts on a car. If E30 M3 bumpers didn't require so much modification to fit on a non-M car, that's what I would have used when I did my bumper swap.

Yes, i strongly think it makes you look like a poser. If you want your E28 to look like the ///M verson, then buy a fucking ///M5. And there's a difference between ///M and M-technic. M-Technic is the stuff that is offered as an option, like a toned down version of true Motorsport equipment. If I go to a car show, I don't want to see a bunch of debadged 3ers and 5ers sporting ///M apparrel. It looks cool I guess, but just doesn't feel valid to me, especially when you look under the hood... I want the real deal. And it's not like there aren't other ways to make a sweet looking BMW. I suppose I'm just the kind of person that gets off on clean paint and nice wheels with a touch of M-Technic, or Reiger, or ACS, or Racing Dynamics, or all the other tuners out there...

        yeah, i'm a purist, sorry.

I can sell the M3 bumper for more than the Rieger costs. I'd also end up buying splitters and such for the M3 bumper, adding to the price. I am really feeling the fog light blanks on E36s, I might do that along with the Rieger lip.

As it stands I already have M3 door moldings (With Motorsport badges) and an M3 Lightweight rear wing, and an M3 style rear diffuser. The only thing left are the side skirts, mirrors, and front bumper to complete the M3 look and I don't want to go that far. I'm really leaning towards the Rieger because I love the built in splitter. The Hartge is unique but something about it is just a tad bit too busy.

rieger looks hot on white, but there's nothing wrong with the oem M3 bumper. i'd go that route. if you're looking for individuality then you bought the wrong car. (not saying e30s are any different)

my vote goes to the OEM m3 bumper because the standard e36 lower grill just doesn't flow very well with the lip spoilers you listed.

if you could open up the stock lower grill then the spoilers would look awesome...if i were to choose which one of the lips look better, my vote would go to the hartge lip.

Particularly if it comes with the splitter as part of it.

I voted OEM M3. Its the nicest option, you already have it coming, and it doesn't make your car a poser-mobile.

If you had like 10 m3 badges and a license plate that said "MYSIKM3" then you would be a poser.
You got enough style to stand out from the crowd even with the same bumper TJ, focus your attention somewhere else.
