I don't think Dinan or Conforti are the best chips you can get. Dinan chips are mapped for 91octane fuel (California), and Conforti chips arn't guarenteed to give you a perfect a/f across the board. On the M42, the Conforti chip leans out over 4500rpm. I'm not sure of the a/f's for the Conforti chip, but it'd be safe to say that you will not get a perfect 12.8-12.9 on an 'i' motor.
The 'best' chip is a custom programmed one for your motor. Active Autowerke sells custom chips, and they will match them to your exact engine setup, with spot-on a/f ratios. They are much more than Conforti or Dinan chips, but they are the best.
