    I hate dips

    Ok,
So now I know my car is pretty low to the ground. To make a long story short, I had too many people in my car and didn't hit this ridiculous dip at the right angle. I somehow hit my exhaust, and the one of the headers ( I believe) popped out of the engine. Now, my question is whether or not I should try to yank it back in myself or take it to a shop? Is there certain gasket, etc. that might have come out? Thanks and sorry if I wasn't too clear

Your Header Popped Out? I Would Think Your Oil Pan Would Be Fucked Over Before Your Manifold Got Remotely Close To The Ground.

I Too Am Very Confused. He Had Way More Things To Fuck Up Before The Header Would Of Hit The Ground.

And yea... there is a gasket on the exhaust, but it isnt insanely important. The exhaust leak you will hear by not having it is going to be WAY better than an open header.

I don't see how your header could pop off. Can you get any pictures of this damage that your talking about?

you probably hit the connector right by the rear diff, or popped a hole in the resonator. go to a shop or jack it up, it will be very apparent.

I read it as "When I scraped, the exhaust got pinched between the car and the ground, with enough force to yank one of the manifolds / downpipes off".

Look in your engine bay if you have not done so already... See anything wrong? How about under the car?

sounds like you hit the muffler bearings more likely.

Oooh, muffler bearings for those trick spinner tips?

I have never heard the term muffler bearings... must be a regional thing.

Yep, they tend to crack if they hit the ground. Any local dealer should have some in stock:D

You could not have hit a header off of your head. If you did you would have some other major problems.

Is your car louder now? I am assuming that it is. You most likely broke a weld up or cut a hole in the pipe. It is 100% impossible that the header got hit off.
