first an apology to Mark, i judged you quickly. and probably wrongfully.

But, beating the shit out of someone is different than killing them.

I do think our form of Government is unbiblical in SOME ways.

if my daughter was raped i would press charges to the full extent, but not death and public retribution, in the moment i may want to kill him, but laws aren't made through knee-jerk,hate-filled anger. our government should punish, but not to the aggregate level of discerning whether or not someone "deserves" to live.

This is absurd, The death penalty ( this is what it comes down to at this point) is a piss poor way to deal with crime, it's like telling someone what they did was wrong, and we show them by way of execution, it's like trying to obtain sexual purity by way of fornication. Oh but you say what they did was wrong? My Lord yes it was! but this is not a theocracy, we don't lightly jumble crimes into a: punishable-by-death file do we? slippery slope!

The difference between beating the crap out of someone and applying the death penalty is the difference between taking the law into one's own hand and seeking punishment to the fullest extent of the law. You contend that your level of punishment is acceptable but mine isn't...

I have very little tolerance for sex offenders. I feel there has to be an extreme deterent... maybe sentence them to no parole and a life of hard labor in the freezing cold or the burning heat. I don't know, but there has to be significant, effective repercussions for this behavior.

My wisdom is limited and so are my experiences. I could be wrong about the death penalty.

Dateline did something even worse- They staged a "bait-house" with hidden cameras and when the molester walked in. They even had a little girl yell from down the hallway, "Yeah! I'm here! I will be right out!" which was a way to help confirm that the molester found the right house. And then thats when the producers and the cops walked in and confronted the guy.

Now being on TV in a situation like this is far worse than getting a beatdown by the kid's parents.

Speaking of minors, what's up with 17 y.o. girls looking waaaaaay older than they are now days. I'm 35, and not that long ago I made a innocent flirt comment at this girl I swore was at least 25, she was 19! The only reason I was quick to ask her age was that I made a 80's reference joke, and she just looked at me blankly - - - after a quick "oh, come on, you remember..", I asked her age, and I just shook my head.

It has to be the growth hormones in the meat and milk. My friend who happens to be a nurse tells me that she sees girls as young as 5 and 6 years old with almost fully developed breasts. Unlike "bitch tits" that you would see on a fat guy or on some fat kid, these girls have a full rack with hairy legs. At risk of sounding like a pervert, I would not ask her if the girls had hair around their vagina too but I do not imagine that its unlikely.

When I drive to the office in the morning and I see these school girls at the bus stop, some of them look like they are on their way to work. And yes, an 80's reference is a good way to determine if a woman is old enough.. I myself was at an outdoor party last summer talking to this girl thinking to myself, "yeah.. I would do her in the back of my car right now" even though she appeared to be clueless about anything that happened prior to 1994. Once her 40ish nearly look-alike mother came by thats when everything started making sense.

Also, I think a lot of this has to do with what we are seeing in the pop-culture....when 10 year old girls see Britney Spears and then they say, "I wanna be sexy too!" it shouldn't be surprising that teeagers look like adult women.

Nope, not the direction I was going. I don't care how scantily a young lady is clad, there is no excuse for rape, fondling, molesting, etc. I do not believe they are 'asking for it'. Old men with an interest in young girls is disturbing... there are many attractive 45+ women out there that they can focus their attention on.

IMHO, Brittany S, Christina A, Paris H and Lindsay L could be better role models to young women. They could use their celebrity to persuade kids to stay in school, avoid drugs, embrace a healthy lifestyle, etc. The three instead promote promiscuity, drug use and alcoholism...

Rape and molestation can never be justified, however, I would also go far enough to say that you should not walk around with honey in your pocket if you dont want to be inundated with flies. And young women need to know that they can't walk around town as a flirtatous half-dressed teaser and expect not to be confronted by some horny guy with a long beard, glasses and trench coat. And if he is breathing heavily you are in for double the trouble.

I have heard women many times say, "I should be able to wear anything I want to and not get raped." which is 100% correct in a perfect world. But because not every creep thinks that way, if you don't want to be in that situation, you best not do the things that would facilitate that.
