Just made it home after a long drive. TJ was a pansy and slept through most of it... and with no radio and fixed back seats.... it was very [sarcasm]fun[/sarcasm]

Anyhow, let me start by saying that this has been the best event of my entire career to date.

Although the organizers for the event were nowhere near as generous as they were in their recent Arizona qualifier (where 6 drivers got their licenses). This time there were only two... and i didnt get either. We practiced the entire day and then we had 3 consecutive runs: one for practice and two qualifying. I tried to be conservative on my practice and work my way up from there.... spun on the infield. Brought myself a notch down and still spun at the exact same spot on my first qualifying run. On my final run, I brought it down another notch and had just enough to pull it off with a single dirt drop. Wasnt my best run by all means (I was not the fastest entry, but I was 4mph behind off the leader, holding 72mph), but it was enough just to say I made it with no shame of being disqualified. Top 8 scores are to be announced online, and I'm fairly confident I'm in there.

But I have to admit, this event has by FAR been the best event ever. I was consistently among the top 5 the whole time during the practice, and I gathered a BUNCH of video footage for you guys. TJ was also there and he said he snapped 800+ shots, so you guys will get a ton of media soon. Practice runs involved no pressure on the drivers... and there was some crazy action going on.

I will have a full report to you guys soon in a new thread, along with media for you guys.

Now if you'll excuse me... I'm dead tired. I'll start posting up the videos on YouTube soon... and wow.... I know you guys will be happy because I was flipping out everytime I watched the recordings in between runs :D

It's honestly just a matter of time til he gets his license. There was a long break before the qualifier runs after the practice and I knew it was going to make Erick's nerves get up. He was rocking out all day and was very consistent. He did awesome overall and I'm proud of the little fella :pimp:
