Thanks man. The best thing of all is that even if I dont land the real big time competitions that come after (Formula D, D1, etc) at least I can say I have had a successful drifting career for someone who started with nothing.

Since I'm studying for marketing, and I figure a successful experience with good sponsor relationships and whatnot would be one hell of an addition to a resume. :) Some people start their own business when they are in college... well.... this is my business.

I have gotten a few replies from my sponsorship applications.... got a few "no"s and a few are showing interest (currently discussing possible options and terms), but whatever the answer is, everyone has always replied praising the quality of my proposal. So that's a relief as well... I've been working on this proposal for months. :p

It's coming along great..... today parts started coming in. I already talked to my buddies over here and we'll most likely have wednesday afternoon to go all out on the car and install everything.

So far I got the tires, a new clutch (which mine just bit the dust today so this came in the nick of time!!!), the stud kit, timing belt, and a bunch of other little things from Advance Auto. Just stocking everything up. I'm trying to see if I can manage to save some of the $ for the week following. If I do get this license, the competition the very next weekend requires a cage... and those are another couple hundred bucks.

Been extremely busy with other things lately though.... one of which is the class for my motorcycle endorsement. I've accessing the forum from work (which is dead after spring break) and before and after sleep lol.

Also gotta go down to Miami to pick up some parts that I sold and have yet to be able to pick up and ship.

I'll snap some pics soon. :)

If you are so set on going pro why are you fucking around with buying a motorcycle and trying to get your motorcycle endorsement?

I have many reasons why. This bike is everything my car isnt. 63mpg, reliable (2004 model), and a lot more comfotable than my car. Ask TJ or Billy what my car is like to daily drive.

Plus my old man is a motorcycle fanatic. In the last 5 years hes had 4 bikes and zero cars. I always had interest in learning... but that would never happen on his R1.

After researching and trying to find the right deal for over a year... a great deal presented itself 20 miles away. And for the reasons above plus a few more, this bike was killing two birds with one stone.

Erick, best of luck to you! Watching some of these videos, you really know how to control that drift, and that takes some damn good skill.

I just sent you some spare money. Goodluck! I'd love to see you succeed, you can do it man!! :D

                      Cheers dude!

Quick update.... many parts started coming in.... tomorrow is the day where we install everything. Mind you my car is already PACKED with tires wheels, tools, etc etc. Like I honestly cannot fit a sheet of paper in it.

Here's a picture of what still needs to fit in the car before I go off to the shop tomorrow.

Bunch of misc stuff.... including your bushings, Sway links, etc I took a bunch of cameras of loading up all the wheels and tires (12 in total I think) plus tools, parts, etc. Fun stuff. Cant find my camera though, so that'll be left for later.

I'll see if I can scrape up a few bucks to send ur way, proly won't be much before u leave, but it should be somethin to help cover the cage if u make it, which as I've seen from all the vids and bein on rev and all the forums, I'm sure u'll kick ass.
