They are loosing the whole hood trunk parts of the car, the roof just slopes right down to the bumper, and i miss the round headlights.

I think it looks quite good. Only if the outsides of the fender arches werent soo flat and tall.

Please tell me that BMW isn't going to make a stock turbo engine.

        Say it ain't so!

Odd. Not including one-off/limited production type runs, when, if ever has the 'M' version preceeded the standard version in release? I'd say they'd release a '2' series first, then when that hits the road the 'M' version wouldl start popping up.

                    I like, however I see a problem

A 300hp 3.0 inline 6 will probably be maxxed out from the factory.

This means people who want more performance may opt for the less expensive 2.5 or 3.0 turbo and turn that 225-250hp into 400hp with minor mods.

                    I think I'd rather have a 400hp turbo 225i or 230i then a 300hp ///M2.

Give these a curb weight of 2,800 pounds and Z4 like handling and I'll have to consider one.

Steve Dinan says first new models of a series come out, then two years later an M comes out.

That would be weird if BMW came out with a turbo engine. I guess they have to, in order to compete with everyone else.

Based on BMW's revised naming convention the 2 series is a 2dr version of the 1 series is it not?? Just like the 4 Series is a 2dr of the 3 series 4dr platform!?!?!

Doesn't look too bad, kinda like a CSL crossbred with a Z4.
Z4 side & tail light styling and the CSL wheels, side grill and headlights.

Interesting to see what they come up with at production time!!!

Ever heard of a 2002 turbo? Thats the basis of the 2 series is it not?

                          I bombed Korea every night.

some 2002s had turbo, i'm pretty sure the old 7 series had the turbo on the 733i, etc.... there werent many cars, but there definetly are some out there.
