well, the new 3 and 4 is as big as an E28 and E24
the new 5 and 6 are as big as an E38 and E31
and the new 7 is as big as a contemporary Rolls Royce Phantom (bigger actually)
so the 1 and 2 series will be as big as an E30.
The M2 should be about as long and wide as an E30 M3 but should weigh about 2500lbs due to its aluminum construction

1980 was the start of the E32 turbo series with a 732i base engineand a displacement of 3.205cc's and bolt on a KKK(Kuhnle, Kopp & Kausch) K27 turbo produces 252hp @ 5.200rpm and 380Nm @ 2.800rpm
in 1983 increased the displacement to 3.430 cc's and produces 252hp @ 4.900rpm and 380Nm @ 2.200rpm
The CR was 7.0:1
