Besides the new 2 series, there's going to be a 1 and 4 series. The 1 series is going to be a hatchback. More of a hatchback than the ti.

news flash, BMW has made quite a few stock turbo engines...
      They did? Which ones?
M1 concept, 2002 turbo, 735 (i think, or the 745), a bunch of turbo deisels. and the infamous F1 motors. 1500 hp from an m10. ask the boys in europe, they are doing the same thing to their duces right now. turbo m10 is the way to go.

I dunno, Bangles a crafty man....
Maybe at the last second they'll put a few
more roundells and some integra headlights.........

Please god someone take this idiot out, enthusiasts
can't take much more of his stupid shit.....

And what's all this shit with sticking four banger engines
in all the cars now? It'd wouldn't bug me so much if they
          all weren't underpowered POS's

They need to update the S14 before they go mucking around
in silly shit like this. 200hp on a turbo'd BMW? WTF?! Weak Sauce......

200 hp turbo car is equal to gti's audi a3's and close to a wrx. with the weight advantage, it will be a performer. i dont know why you have your nuts in a tangle.

It was the 745i Shahe, engine was known as the M102. Based on the M30.

known as 45 due to the conversion factor for turbo's (roughly 1.4, for FIA regs)

Turbo compact bimmers are a good idea, as the baseball cap drivers will buy them, and as they get older, stick with the brand (move up to 3/5/7's). Pretty brilliant marketing plan by BMW I feel.

                    My next car will either be a 220iS (Turbo 2.0 16v) or a 432iS (Turbo 3.2 24v I6)

BMW is reintroducing the 'iS' badge and the iS will = Turbo power
                    I for one cant wait.

                      Hmph

I am alittle worried that BMW can produce some of smoothest I6s in the world but they can't rival a 4 cyclinder from honda >.< 150 horses out of a 2.0 liter is ridiculous unless they pull off some of that ETA nonsense and have a 4 banger with 160+ pounds of torque. If they must go 4cyl updated S14s turning at 8.5k would kick all kinda ass.

My Cabrio is getting a turbo for the sole purpose of becoming the down payment for my 2-series.

No. They 1 and 2 series are designed for europe (I'm not sure why they're even importing them to the US). They're designed to be able to maneuver the small roads and get excellent gas milage (since gas is ~$5 per gallon).

Even Mercedes-Benz, which is more known for luxury cars than BMW, makes small economy vehicles in europe.

If you're worried about presitge, sell your e30 and buy a Rolls-Royce.

How does that have anything t do with the "prestige" of BMW?

And by the way, I hope you don't think you're prestigous driving a 15 year old BMW.

Its still a 3 series and has origin.
I brought that up because it seems like they are coming out with 1 2 3 4 5 6 7, what next? 9 10 11 12? They are having so many models out now, and more M models that it seems to kill it.
