just replace the one rocker.... i've also heard that you damage your rockers more by dogging your motor than by hitting the rev limiter... try idling up your driveway and you will hear what i'm saying... anyways, it's not a bad job.

Cam + M20 = waste of time and money UNLESS (and this is the conditional part of the statement) you are planning on upping the compression, building it into a stroker, and modifying the intake, fuel injection, and exhaust to match the new cam. Otherwise, you are not going to get the full potential of the cam, and it's still going to be inferior to a motor swap in terms of performance.
Spend the money you save by not buying a high performance cam, and get yourself a decent M50. Theres a complete M50 in an E34 (correct oil pan already as I recall) for $100 out in a salvage yard near my house.'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5
