I don't have the car yet. It's an hour away. That's the problem. And I work tomorrow too.

I bought a hitch kit for my truck. I have to install that, get a dolly, and drive up there, load the car up and bring it back. I also have to get my 325e going again as it splits DD status with the Exploder. As soon as I get shit going I'll post pics. The shifter looks sweet, snapped the carrier right in half. And the guibo looks like spaghetti hahah.

Me and driveshafts do not get along. The only thing that ever broke on my truck was the front drive shaft. I went through 3 of them on my 325e. And as soon as I got in the 325is that one came apart. I don't drive them thaaaat hard :)

Many thanks to JHower for helping me with all of this... I'd be fucked without his help.

Yeah Tony and I picked it up. Thanks for the offer though, I appreciate it.

You wanna trade the s52 for a blown eta?

Looks like I'll be doing an s50 swap sooner then I thought.

I'll probably grab that shifter from ya, that way I don't have to buy one. I have to be in Harrisburg at 4 to do the title swap, but I'll be around all morning. I'll be up by 7 or 8 working on my car, so just give me a call whenever your ready if you want to come over.

I did, that's the eta. I doubt it's blown, but it's probably an issue beyond repair (worthwhile repair for an eta anyway).

Yes, I started building a Racing Dynamics K27 replica engine, but I don't know if I want to spend all that money for so little results.

I'll likely either go s50 or just throw in my spare m20b25 for the time being.

Yeah, well, the cost of living is usually correlated with the average income from local jobs. So I'm sure you people are making more $$$.

                        haha what an introduction.

and i can vouch with jgood on the shape of this car, it would be damn near mint had the guy taken care of the paint on his "baby." its not very often that you find these cars running and in this kind of shape let alone coming from the original owner with tons of paperwork. a definate steal nontheless.

Yeah seriously, this is why message boards are fucking retarded. It's not treated like a community it's treated like a spot to flex your e-muscles and e-attitude.

Anyway, the car is far from mint, my point was, for the price I paid I got a hell of a car. I found many many flaws since I bought it and looked over it, it's far from mint, I was just trying to describe the condition vs. the price.

Next time I will pull out my dictionary while making my post to accurately describe my cars (which I spent about 2 minutes doing).

Anyway, the ETA didn't blow up. I do believe it's impossible to kill that motor. The cam gear came loose (not far enough to come off of the timing stud). I believe I torqued it to the 55 lbs/ft spec or whatever it was, but who knows. It caused some wicked noises, and even after I tightened it, the valves were pounding like hail on a sheet of aluminum. I shut it down for two hours, started it back up, and it's been fine ever since, unfortunately. I really wanted a good reason to do an s50 or stroker.

The 325is had a lot more damage then I thought. The guibo came apart, tore apart the CSB, mashed the trans output flange up, snapped the shifter, and destroyed the transmission (broke a mounting ear). It also ripped the trans mounts apart. That's a lot of a damage for a 10mph incident that lasted about 2-3 seconds from the time it separated until the time I got the car stopped...

It's cool, I have another transmission and drive shaft. I have a new clutch kit, trans mounts, shifter rebuild kit, and e36 M3 shifter to put in. should be running by the end of the weekend.
