        It would be nice to just use the stock fuel tank location, but I think unless you feel like cutting the top of your rear seat out and building an appropriate tank(you can supply your measurements to a fuel cell manufacturer and they can build it to spec) to fit close to the same location, that well thingy would work fine. Yes it will transfer the weight to the other side of the rear axle, not sure how it would truly effect the science of the car. Hrm, I like my idea of cutting out the top of the rear seat and building my own "saddle style" fuel cell..... that would be nifty!

        ps: ask Mariano what happened when I drove me, him, and three of his other friends in Vegas in my car...................."is that, rubber?"

              I might look into building a long range alloy drop tank (90-120 litre) for the v8e30. The tiny fuel tank wont keep the ls1 going for long :p Plus, they look mean as.

                You'll be surprized what kind of mileage that thing will get. I got 28mpg in my firebird with the LT1 motor.

                  Everyone has their opinions but scales tell me the car balances a lot better with the gas in back. I did go to a motorcycle battery and moved it behind the passenger seat, other than that no changes from the last time I balanced.

                        RX7 LS1ers get 25-30mpg on trips, so unless your foot is in it all the time, then you should be fine!

                              You can allway fab up something that ill hold the tank lower to the grown. but i do agree factory location is best.

                                I've been eyeing the well cell myself, all depends on how my factory tank looks when I drop it. Might por-15 fuel tank seal it and keep it, but I like the idea of fuel cell.
