91 Chevron and if I cant find a Chevron I use 76. But ALWAYS 91 since both my cars have chips and the ///M3 is running 11.25:1 compression.

Shell seems to work best for me. Regular in my 633, mid-grade in the 525 wagon.

Chevron is the best, as far as ive heard its like this....
                  Chev... 0% ethinal
                  Shell... 3% ethinal
                  76... 5% ethinal
                  Arco?ect... 8% ethinal

ethinal is bad. to say it simply its "watered down" with chemicals or somthing.
there is some way to test it using a vial and watching the seperation after 5 minutes... ill try and find it.

I use 91 for my chip and usually the cheapest at the time I need it. I don't understand how one brand is better than the next. The crude oil goes to refinery and get cooked into what is basically layers. The different layers give you gas, oil etc. so it all comes out of the same boiler. if someone can explain definetively the difference and why please do. Generally, I don't care because the price difference between two brands is 3 dollars on a fill up. but as these gas prices go up the more important it is. I also know that each brand adds their own additive that has a smell signature in an attempt to get people to prefer one brand over the other. i think the most important thing is that you do the appropriate maitenance on your car more than worry about the brands.

Sunoco 93 in the 318. Sunoco always seems to have the best prices/gas in my town.

Depends on which ECU the car has in it at the time. I have a JC chip for Auto X days and track days, other days it's plain old 87 octane due to no pinging no need...

I just put diesel in the eta... it has the same power band so I figure it probably works better with that in it.

                              haha

I actually put Shell or Sunoco 93 or 94 octane in in eta because of the chip, and 89 in the 325is because it's stock for now...

I stay away from WaWa because I can't imagine they use good gas.
