BTW: Cary, is it a motometer? or VDO?
Mine is VDO does that matter? Are they not compatable? As in same plugs in the back.

your old 325 cluster?

I remember trying to put a VDO tach or speedo into a motometer mainboard and it physically wouldn't fit. Will work fine if you swap the entire cluster though."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I've stuck a Motometer speedo into a VDO cluster. My 318is has a VDO with my old Motometer coding plug and it works fine (M20 powered).Comment
