Why is it that everyone gets their panties in a bunch when they can't "customize" their cars with super-kool EURO gear?
Why are you so "passionate" against this petition??

No kidding, give it a rest!

Jesus fucking christ, if you dont think its cool to care about front plates shut your mouth. This is the kind of shit that gets threads locked.

IMO front license plates ruin the front of a car.

      I bombed Korea every night.

I think my car looks fine with a Cali front plate.
Would definitely take it off if I got a euro plate though.
Only thing that sucks with a front plate is those dam camera's at intersections that are popping up all over O.C. :x

Do they issue you two plates when you register a car?

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

If there are so many people against using a front plate then why doesn't somebody actually go through the effort of starting a real petition to remove the front plate? Go here and and find out how to actually do something about it: http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/elections_h.htm Online petitions have as much effect as a fart in a hurricane.

I like having my front plate on. Does a splendid job of killing bugs.

I don't run a front plate, and I haven't had any problems with the cops. But I don't do it because it looks cooler. When cops shoot you with laser, they aim for it.

Give Jarvis a break you guys. He's just a whiny bitch who doesn't know when to give up. ;) ;) ;)

Thanks for all proving my point by flipping out when I questioned the importance of a fake license plate.
And Tangent is right, some online petition isn't going to do much.
I just don't get the whole fake Euro plate thing, and why people are so protective of it. So sue me. It'd be cool if there was some story behind it, like you used to live in Europe and it was an actual plate off your car there. But I give up on understanding the importance of this idea.

:? Asking why you were against people wanting something other than a front plate is flipping out? Why do people do a lot of things to their car? Obviously because they like it. You, obviously, dont like it. Thats fine. You dont have to ask people to move out of the state because they like something that isnt necessarily legal.

Talking about Texas... not South Dakota.

I just think it's a little ridiculous to try and further tie up a state's already fucked up government by having to deal with a petition that suggests requiring only one license plate, so that people can legally display their fake plates for cosmetic reasons.
I'm not an expert on California's laws or politics, but I'll take an educated guess and predict that no matter how many people signed that petition, nothing will happen. Some states require 2 plates for specific reasons. I am in favor of some of those reasons.
