    Wow, a 20-year bump by a bot?!

Happy to say I'm finally a Professional Engineer, now that I have my Licence as of a few months ago.
Went through the Electrical program at university, and have picked up a lot of the mechanical side working in industrial automation.

Went back to school because my old career was a dead end, graduated in Mech in 2021.
My current job, classically, has nothing to do with anything we were taught in school.

Don't have my P.Eng yet because the fucks don't exist at the moment.
It's just a pain in the ass to write experience reports and I still haven't found a mentor that I was supposed to have 3 years ago lol

This thread is crazy to see as a 21 year old ME undergrad, I'm in my last year. Been supplementing my schoolwork with fixing an old e30 but not sure that will translate well into the real world lol.

It will not, E30s make far too much sense. OTOH, if you can take those simplistic, practical, low part count ideas and translate them in to the modern world real people will undoubtedly benefit.

OTOH x1000000000 .... making 02/E30 parts practical, efficient, and profitable has been a great help when as applied to making space stuff.

house ..... I took the long route of making car parts and getting into forum arguments before deciding to go back to school for engineering. The guy on my left is astronaut Drew Fuestal .... who fixed up old cars as a mechanic during community college. Right now he is working on his E9 and I am still poking at my 02, when not building a space station.
