Dyno Results are in and im very unhappy

    Injectors are definately not the issue as i am running around 230hp at flywheel on stock injectors with no fuel problems.

    The head on the M20 yields little power as the stock unit was a very good design.
    I only got 6hp gain after spending £2400 on the head ($4100.00) and that was without the cam which gave a further 4hp in true terms.

    I would check your fueling system is running right and also take a good look at your air flow meter and your electrical side to see if your leads or plugs are not breaking down somewhere.

    I have a chip for your car that will run it perfectly.

      Your dyno information is absolutely worthless. You say you don't know what chip is in the car, you have no air/fuel readings. The 135 and 159 mean absolutely nothing. Sorry man, but you should have gotten those air/fuel charts. Why else would you dyno a car?

          5 bucks says i can narrow your problem down:

          1.you need a tune up
          2. you need a proper tune (a/f)
          3. you need to ditch the m20. it is a useless motor to mod.

              Always knocking the M20 Shahe :roll: He is wrong about the engine but I agree with him on the tuneup. I then would get a management system. I would clean/replace filters as well as pull the injectors and examine them, clean if necessary. Make sure you have all six cy;inders firing as well. You may laugh but I've seen someone who blew a plug and had no clue, check. Good luck.

                how am i wrong about the engine? you cant go all motor on these things. its pointless. show me one all motor m20 making 200 whp. the only upgrade worthwhile on these is a turbo.

                you know what, go ahead, keep dumping tremendous amounts of cash into the m20, see where you get. everyone on here that has taken that path, gave up all hope, they all realized how pointless it is, and swaped to the 50 series motors (s50/m50)

                you just havent spent enough money if you havent realized that the m20 is a waste.

                  do the job right on the M20 and 200hp is not hard to come by.
                  we had this debate here in the UK and i provem them all wrong with a N/A engine hitting 230hp.

                        196hp@wheels which given a 17% loss through drivetrain gives a healthy 229.32HP

                        Why is it that if people think it cant be done they slate it ?
                        I had this in the UK and even when i proved them wrong they wanted to disbelieve it

                        The thing was, i did this run in front of 30 other forum members so they had trouble with that

                          thats only 196 whp, in america that would be about 192whp. which is great numbers, but what is that car running? how much did it cost?

                          also are those numbers corected?

                              The car is a 2.7 conversion with a 1mm overbore so 2755cc.
                              It is built to complete race spec with 7600rpm rev limit.
                              It has a tarmac spec head with 284 cam.

                              The car`s power has been verified on 3 different rolling roads.

                                what type of gas does it take to run that thing? whats the CR? engine managment?
