I think the idea of the thread was to just pick one, Random. :D

But of course if one had the money, one could not limit one's self to just one project car.

Half the cars on that list arent "project cars" I define a project car as an older vehicle to which you desire to modify far beyond its original design. Those are mostyl sports cars for the yuppie posh people. boooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrring ;)

E30 M3 with front wheel drive conversion, swapped from a Chevy Cavalier. 3 speed automatic. I'd also move the battery to the front left of the car, and put a sweet 900 CCA unit to optimize the weight distribution. Rip out the unsupportive sport seats, sell them to some poor schmoe, and whip in some comfy seats taken from a 1990 Buick Regal. Headrests will be deleted to save weight, but Taz seatcovers will be added in order to improve power delivery. Aside from interior mods, the exterior will be enhanced with 18" Giovanna chrome rims so I can kick ass at autox. Rounding things off and preserving the Looney Tunes theme, Yosemite Sam mudflaps declaring "Back Off" will let truckers know, don't eff lest you get dealt with.

On the engine tuning side of things, I will put an electric supercharger, which will get me around +80HP and +5MPG. That's what the guy on Ebay told me. I'll probably need to get a blowoff valve and an intercooler for my electric supercharger, cuz I need to race my friend, who has been riding me these past few weeks telling me how fast his Escort EXP is and I need as much power as possible.

          FredK

In reality, I want to get a Euro S52B32 and put it into some shell or another.

              Late sixties Jaguar e-type

              Mated to this:

              An LS6.

Yes, that would work quite nicely.

That motor would look equally at home in the back of an Ultima GT-R :).

Porsche 993 Turbo S, the really rare one.

Otherwise, i'd import an R34 Skyline GTR.

What would there be left to make a "project" from?

I also would LOVE to have one of these, a 1980 Volvo 242 GT:

Why not just pick one of those up instead of an e30? They're just as common, if not more so, and a complete tank in terms of reliability. If not a 242, then a 240. There's a pretty decent aftermarket for the cars, so you could at least do suspension work.

                            Continuing my "project car" list.

                            One '66-'69 Silver Seraph/Shadow.

                            One Gen2, Possibly Gen3 Viper V10.

                            Notice a trend?

In all reality, I'd probably just go with a 350 SBC, but the Viper V10 just looks so cool.

A '66-69 silver Seraph is one of my "cars I will own before I'm 35".

Kinda funny that you should say that, there's a guy that lives down the street from my wife's parent's house, I want to try and talk him into selling it to me.
