I'd turbo an exige... i want a light, fun, direct car that I can light up in any gear
I still want to build a turbo s50 318ti, I absolutely love 'tis... this summer, the e30 is going bye bye in favor of the dream. 8k for the e30, should start me off with a decent shell and enough to buy a 32Xi dash
ok i am getting older so ... after the track/cross toy is done.
a 1991Schnitzer s5s. with the schnitzer flairs and 18*10 in the front and 18*12 in the rear. but instead of the 3.7 270hp schnitzer engine a TCD turbo 3.5 with 450hp. This will become my daily driver and the e30 4 door will go away.

You're going to have to sell a lot more xenon to ever afford one.

Funny you mention that, how much does one really go for? I saw a Ferarri F50 on ebay for 725,000 dollars, so i was thinkin that the TVR Speed 12 would prolly be a bit less.
725,000 financed over 50 years not including innterest is still 14K a month. Jeez!!!!
If i contribute enough, maybe i'll take a loan out against my 401K, since i would only be paying interest to myself.
my Dream Project would be to take an e30 m3 in normal condition, strip it all down, and rebuild it into a Gruppe A DTM M3. Strip the paint, and paint it like Steve Soper's car. It would take a ton of money, and a ton of time finding all the parts, but well worth it.

I'd say quite a few people missed the point of this post, or dont understand the concept behind a 'project car'. A ridiculously fast car, with beautiful aesthetics is NOT a project car: R34 GT-R, Caterham, current model Porsche etc.
A project car is one that shows potential, can often be purchased cheaply, and will most likely be completely transformed: GTi, old Bimmers, old Porsches etc. I've seen quite a few nice project cars, such as a 1963 Ford that was stripped and sprayed in its original colour, completely reupholstered, and lovingly restored, and on the other end of the scale, a 91 Civic hatch with a turbo, FMIC, huge wastegate, custom interior and big rims.
Personally I'd choose a Pulsar GTiR (Sunny in UK I think) as its a good platform (AWD turbo) to build a bruiser, whilst working on a solution for the ugly aesthetics. 2002's appear to be decent project cars also
- Fully restored RED Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona !!!
- Fully restore a white '73 Porsche 911 RSR.
- Fully restored blue Lotus Europa
- Fully restored Lambo Miura
- Red Datsun 240z with a RB26DETT.
I'd build up a square tail 2002 with the turbo flares and airdam and euro bumpers, color would be inka orange, drop a built 2.5L S14 in, ground control suspension. wheels would be 15X8 or 15X8.5 (forget what you can shove under there) BBS RS wheels, interior would be black recaro
