Alpina 17x8 4x100 wheelset - Super Rare Z1 RLE set

My attic stash got a once over and noticed these rare as all get out 17x8 ET28 original Ronal Alpina 17x8 4x100 wheelset. Information is limited but Alpina appears to have only put 17x8 4x100 on the Z1 RLE edition and only 66 sets of these rims were produced.

Can anyone help provide more information on these?

If it ever popped up again for a resonable price, it'd be worth it for me to pick it up. But someone up the line would have to take a huge loss. before selling it to me! :)

But seriously, it's a strange journey that I hope to bring a happier ending to some of it. I've also been in contact with two of the former owners about it, and they are fully supportive.

Unfortunately, just the drive train and pretty much everything else that made it an Alpina.

Sadly, the shell (with it's vin) is just too far gone to be saved, and unless someone can save the shell by unwinding all the customization that has been done to it in the last 6 years and some how find all the bits to make it whole again - it will never be considered an Alpina in the market.

All that being said, the Alpina registry is tracking what I am doing and the VIN numbers of all cars involved.

Id cut the vin off that car just to have it haha

Cool, yeah, any photo's you have of it would be great. The most recent pics I have seen of it are not pretty. After consulting with the Alpina registry and what not, they are considering it dismantled for the time being.

But that will all be covered when I eventually do a build thread.
