Anybody seen this? Seems like this part s/b on every M20 since it completes the ignition wire protection setup. My engine bay looks incomplete w/o it...

Is this ignition wire harness cover rare? I'm looking at the cone-shaped piece that extends from the distributor plugs to the long thin ignition wire cover on the VC. I can't find a part number anywhere, and I've seen it on very few M20's.

But I've found an E28 M535i with an original moonroof (Not the Saab replacement, but original BMW).




And an E34 complete E34 BBS bodykit, only took Pictures of the front.

I know it isnt rare in the standards of say BBS, ACSchnitzer, or Alpina body parts; but can anyone explain why it is hard to get a hold of a early model/M3 plate filler? I have friends who kept there eyes open for months without hope too. Just wondering if they only came on certain models, or any other reason they are so scarce.

of course an acceptable answer is "you weren't looking hard enough"
