I paid attention on the way home from school.. I actually do the hover thing too. Heel is on the ground while the rest of the foot is barley touching the clutch. Grazing it like an asymptote. I slowly started to apply little pressure to where I felt a small vibration in the pedal. Now that would be riding the clutch. So I guess now, when I mean foot on the clutch, I ment hovering.Originally posted by erik325i View PostWhen driving around town, I usually have my foot hoovering above the clutch pedal. When I'm on the highway just cruising, I have my foot planted on the floor. I'm not a big fan of the dead pedal.

what the fuck is the foot rest? u guys mean that lil patch of carpet to the left of the clutch? thats hardly a dead pedal. but i rest my foot there when im in traffic or just driving around town but mainly on the floor on long trips tucked under the seatOriginally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.

I got bitched at by an instructor at an HPDE day for "covering the clutch" down the straights. I just left it there knowing that I was going to be downshifting relatively shortly... when I'm in corners or anything where I might need to use that leg for some stability it is on the deadpedal as it should be.PNW Crew
