    Left foot

Just curious as to what most people do. I always have it resting on the clutch.

My seat position is good, I'm not too far away from the controls, but I almost never use my dead pedal. It just feels too far away. I usually just put my foot flat on the floor a little bit in front of the clutch.

I'm a floor kind of guy when I'm just cruisin'. Not a big fan of the dead pedal.

You know, I had a feeling doing that wasn't the best thing for the clutch, however how bad could it be to gently rest your foot on it? I just think it’s much easier/comfortable and allows for faster shifting. The thought just came up recently of it being a bad habit..hence the poll. If I lift the clutch pedal from behind there’s about a half inch of play..is that normal?

                  are you being serious?

it's partially disengaging the clutch disk. don't do it.

it's called riding your clutch. it's probably the worst thing you can do to it.

I don't see any reason why you would have to keep your foot there for faster shifting. Are you street racing or something? or do you just shift randomly/unneccesarily? :p

Well, when I say faster shifting, I mean it eliminates the time your foot travels from the footrest to the clutch. I do practice downshifting, heel-toe, and accasonlaly double clutching on a regular basis, but I don't push the car by any means.. Usually never shift past 3k. I’ll stop my riding the clutch habit pronto, thanks :)

I heel toe for every downshift now (took me about a year to get confident at it), but I still don't ride the clutch ;)

When driving around town, I usually have my foot hoovering above the clutch pedal. When I'm on the highway just cruising, I have my foot planted on the floor. I'm not a big fan of the dead pedal.

Its either on the dead pedal, the clutch, and rarely the brake depending on my need to toss the car around.
