And Carbon boy, who cares who it is that I'm arguing with? Argument is argument, a mod isn't automatically correct because he's a mod.

You call out what I have to say and safety, and you know nothing about said type of design (?lack of real world exp.?) Maybe you haven't been around the block yet, no harm, no foul, but you should stop and assess the issue before looking like an argumentitive asshat. BTW I'd trust a mod with 4 times the amnt of posts you have over you just by plausable exp. To be a mod you gotta know something about said forum. I respect if all you know is just book smarts as it seems from your posts. Get out there in the real world, come back with a new viewpoint. A fresh view can change everything.

And the mod thing was only a razz.

Oh yeah, drop the e-penis thing, that and an animated version of a used blunt condom does not get you a ton of credability.

No not really. It doesn't say that a hinged bar is the same as a non-hinged bar. Either way, you have your opinion, and I have mine.

Trust me bro, I have enough experience to have an opinion on the matter. 2 years of tracking, a dozen e30 buildups and projects, dozens of hondurs. I'm the local guy people call when shit fucks up while working on something.

"custom made x-brace" Ie I designed and installed it myself. I tried an e36 x-brace but it didn't offer enough ground clearence.

The door swings, because the force is not parallel to the hinges. If you could apply the force in the exact same direction in which you pulled, the door would not move.

i understand what he is refering to and it makes sense. i've never heard of a chasis flexing perfectly in only one direction. That is why spoke wheels are designed to work under tension. if they worked under compression the spokes would have to be considerably thicker. so hinged design is fine for cornering but sucks for bumps which is why they are not used on rally cars.
